MOSCOW: THE PARADE OF THE VICTORY AGAINST NAZIFASCISM

With 14 thousand soldiers, 216 military vehicles, missile complexes, 75 aircraft, 80 WWII veterans e 10 heads of state and government in Moscow, in the Red Square, the victory over Nazi-fascism is celebrated with a triumphal parade. The planned commemoration, as per tradition, for the 9 May, due to the coronavirus crisis took place on 24 June, in memory of the first parade with which the USSR celebrated the victory over Nazi-fascism, The 24 June 1945. The march of the Immortal Regiment will be held on 26 July. The celebrations were anticipated by a historical essay written by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, titled: “I 75 years of the Great Victory: common responsibility in the face of history and the future”.
