Let's get rid of the war virus

International conference on the 75th anniversary of the Liberation and the end of the Second World War

Broadcast by BYOBLU and PANDORATV

Saturday 25 April 2020 From 15

From the 1945 to date the war has never ended. The Second World War was followed by the Cold War,  then an uninterrupted series of wars and the return to a situation similar to that of the Cold War which increases the risk of a catastrophic nuclear conflict.

War, functional to the interests of the economic and financial elites, continues to claim victims especially among the poorest populations. It is also conducted with cheap weapons, which often cause more casualties than weapons proper. All this causes forced migration and huge social tragedies.

In this situation the spread of the Coronavirus, whatever its origin, dramatically highlights the unsustainability of the dominant system. Just as Europe is in crisis over the virus, US / NATO military forces move into the European region to create further tensions, nurture the idea of the enemy and train nuclear forces. Just as a new, very heavy economic crisis is being prepared, enormous resources are squandered for military purposes.

For this the 25 April, on the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation from which the Italian Constitution was born which repudiates the war, we come together with the awareness that it is necessary to form the largest domestic and international front to free ourselves from the war system of which we are prisoners, to claim real information rights, of speech and participation in the key issues on which our future depends
