candidacy of nato for the peace prize

We have learned that the Nobel Prize Commission is examining NATO's bid for the Peace Prize.

We have no confirmation, other than from an article by Politika, the largest Serbian newspaper. https://www.b92.net/eng/news/world.php?yyyy=2020&mm=03&dd=07&nav_id=108076

We receive from a respectable character, the President of the Belgrade Forum Zivadin Jovanović, the letter he addressed to the Norwegian Prize commission recalling the crimes committed by NATO in 1999, when he attacked a sovereign state for to free one of its regions in violation of international law. In a few days, The 24 March will be the twenty-first anniversary of the start of the bombings on Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro. The bombings lasted 79 days claiming many civilian casualties, The 40% consisting of children.

Dear friends in the face of the "incredible" and shameful news of the proposal to award the Nobel Peace Prize to the most aggressive and bloody international military alliance since 1945 to date, as a Belgrade Forum for a World of Equal Italy, as a Center of Initiatives for Truth and Justice and as Solidarity Associations "SOS Yugoslavia" and "SOS Kosovo Metohija",   we join and support the public letter drawn up by the central management of the Forum in Serbia, making us available for any public initiatives to denounce this real crime and insult to the value of the word PEACE.

“Eminent members of the Committee for the Nobel Peace Prize,

We are writing to you on behalf of the Belgrade Forum for a World of Equals, of the Association of Generals and Admirals of Serbia, of the United Foundation for Youth, of independent organizations of Serbia and the Serbian diaspora.

We have heard from the media that NATO is officially a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize 2019. In this regard, allow us to draw your attention to the following:

1. Exactly 21 Years ago, NATO illegally launched a military aggression on Serbia (RFY) which lasted 78 days, From the 24 March to 10 June 1999, thus violating the Charter of the United Nations, the final document of the OSCE in Helsinki, as well as its founding act (1949). It was a crime against peace and humanity.

2.The aggression has left over 3500 dead, among which 89 children and about 12.500 wounded. The direct economic damage was estimated to be more than that 100 billions of US dollars. The number of human victims due to the subsequent consequences of the aggression and damage to the natural environment has yet to be assessed.

3.Like the first war after the second world war on European soil, NATO aggression on Serbia (RFY) it was a breakthrough that introduced the practice of aggression and unrestricted interventions around the world. This aggression was the beginning of NATO's transformation from a defensive alliance to an offensive, ignoring the United Nations principle that peace should be defended only by peaceful means.

4.The attack conducted in coalition with the KLA separatist terrorist organization, set a precedent, encouraging separatism, terrorism and disrespect for international law.

5.During the attack, NATO forces used depleted uranium missiles and other prohibited weapons and methods, strongly condemned by the European Parliament, by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and by the national parliaments of many NATO and EU member states. This has left lasting consequences, causing dangerous malicious deaths and taking the lives of thousands of innocent people.

6.This crime against peace and humanity has caused lasting instability in the Balkans. It has seriously compromised the stability of Europe. At the same time, NATO has inflicted irreparable damage on Europe (OSCE) e al World Peace and Security Order (HIM-HER-IT), thus ushering in the era of the new cold war.

Hoping these facts deserve your attention and evaluation, Please accept the assurances of our highest consideration.
