The US want to establish a “network of battlefields” until 2028 reaching from Georgia, Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic States to Finlandia.

The deployed weaponry during Defender 2020 will remain in special stores in Poland and the Baltic States. Most of the weaponry will not to be returned.

Stars and Stripes wrote ( JOHN VANDIVER, January 22, 2020) : ” During Defender-Europe, which runs through July, quick response forces from the 82nd Airborne Division will rehearse how to fight their way into a country by parachuting into the Republic of Georgia, a NATO partner country that fought a brief war with Russia in 2008. “

A few days ago Trump declared that the US-Army will again be allowed to use anti-person mines APM because it needs this weaponry to win a battle. I think that the troops which are deployed to Europe will be equipped with this banned weaponry. The European states have signed the mine ban treaty in contrast to USA! The deployement of APM would be an offence to International Law and to the sovereignty of the European states. These are obliged to stop any transportation or other use of APMs within their territories.

A short historical remark: The Suwalki Gap is part of the demarcation line from where Hitler started the aggression on the Sovjet Union in 1941. Hitler also spoke that Russia had been threadening Germany’s eastern border. The same lie is used today when politicians speak of the Russian thread.
