The aggressors guaranteeing Libyan "sovereignty"

At the Berlin Conference, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called for "an end to foreign interference in Libya, the arms embargo and a lasting ceasefire ". France did the same, United Kingdom and Italy, the same countries that nine years ago together with the USA formed the spearhead of the NATO war against Libya.

Previously they had armed tribal sectors and Islamic groups against the Tripoli government, and infiltrated special forces including thousands of Qatari commandos. then, declaring he wants to stop Gaddafi "massacre of his people", the war operation was launched under US command.

In seven months, NATO aviation carried out 30 thousand missions, of which 10 thousand of attack with over 40 thousand bombs and missiles. Italy made available to NATO 7 air bases and carried out with their own fighter-bombers as well 1.000 missions on Libya.

That state was thus demolished, on the southern shore of the Mediterranean, recorded "high levels of economic growth and high indicators of human development" (as documented in 2010 the World Bank itself), where about two million mostly African immigrants found work.

Libya's project to give birth was thus destroyed, with its sovereign wealth funds, independent economic bodies of the African Union. The US and France agreed to block the Libyan plan to create an African currency with the war, as an alternative to the dollar and the CFA franc imposed on 14 former African colonies: The emails from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton unearthed by WikiLeaks prove it ("Crime" for which Julian Assange is being held in a British prison and is at risk, If extradited to the US, from life imprisonment to the death penalty).

Sovereign wealth funds, circa 150 billions of dollars invested abroad by the Libyan state and "frozen" on the eve of the war, have largely disappeared. Gods 16 billions of Libyan euros blocked in the Euroclear Bank have disappeared 10, and the same happened in other EU banks.

Now the EU , as he stated at the Berlin Conference, it undertakes to endow Libya with the «capacity to build national institutions, like the Oil Company, the Central Bank and the Investment Authority ".

All within the framework of "structural economic reforms", that is, the privatization of public companies. It is thus intended to substantially legalize today's system, according to which the revenues from energy exports, estimated in over 20 billions of dollars in 2019, they are divided between power groups and multinationals.

In addition to oil reserves (the largest in Africa) and natural gas, there is the immense Nubian aquifer of fossil water in perspective more precious than oil, that the Libyan state had begun to use by transporting water through pipelines from 1.300 wells in the desert to coastal cities.

The control of the Libyan territory itself of primary geostrategic importance is at stake: it should be remembered that in the 1954 the US had installed at Wheelus Field, at the gates of Tripoli, their main air base in the Mediterranean with fighter-bombers also armed with nuclear bombs. One of the main objectives of today's Russian policy in Libya is certainly to prevent US / NATO military bases from being set up here.

In any case, NATO, stone guest at the Berlin Conference, it will continue to play a leading role in the Libyan situation, in particular through the Sigonella base.

A possible EU "peace mission" in Libya would see the participation of NATO countries, that would actually use intelligence, the telecommunications network and logistical support of the Alliance under US command.

However, there is the maximum guarantee: in Berlin, the US and the EU solemnly pledged to "continue to strongly support the sovereignty of Libya".
